Equipment

Here are the benefits of the new "Pelomagia" technology which consists in aspiring the water from the mantle of the animal (unlike the traditional systems which used towels) and in eliminating the water with a powerful cool water jet using "fans" called "Turbo".

Reduction of the working times
The use of "Pelomagia" machine with the double function liquid-aspirator/dryer, enables to reduce the drying times.
Some examples:

TIME (MIN.) NEEDED TO DRY COMPLETELY A DOG AFTER WASHING AND RINSING
Dog breed To aspire completely water To complete drying with our combined dryer Total time
German Sherpherd 7 15 22
Newfoundland dog 10 20 30
Brie Shepherd 10 20 30
Labrador 6 13 19
Bobtail 10 20 30
Saint Bernard 12 30 42
Cocher 5 13 18
Yorkshire Terrier 4 9 13
Caniche nain 5 9 14

Less psycho-physical stress for the operator
a) With our grooming-tub the operator has no more to lift the animals to introduce or take them off the tub.
b) There's no need of towels to wipe the animals.
c) There's no need to wash and dry towels.
d) The water in the mantle is no more expelled with a hand-operated turbo.
e) The operator has no more to bear the deafening noise of turbos and industrial dryers.

With "Pelomagia" equipment:
Water is aspirated by means of a very light hose (a few drams) applied to the end of a flexible pipe.
To complete the drying with the dryer by hand we use a hose applied to a flexible pipe as well.
The hose can be supported by a wall-mounted arm directed towards the animal.
Aspiration and drying times are reduced to a half if compared to traditional equipment.

Ecological aspects and respect for the environment
• we can aspire the 95 ÷ 98 % of the water; if we touch the animal we perceive moisture but our hands are not wet. With the use of towels or Turbo we reach the 75 ÷ 80% of water removal.
• Parasites and dead hair are aspired together with water; in this way they are not dispelled in the working room with the successive use of the dryer to complete the drying, but they are diverted into a suitable container.
• The noisiness has been greatly reduced (less acoustic pollution) while the turbo is very noisy.
• Aspiration doesn't scare the animal contrary to the violent turbo air jet. So less stress for the animal and smaller difficulties for the operator.
• No more towels to wash and dry for a successive use.
• Hot water production, which is used as a dryer without resistors (but using the adiabatic effect) has some advantages:

a) there isn't any production of ionized air;
b) during the drying the animal hair is not electrostatically charged, so it doesn't stick and the combing is easier;
c) the maximum temperature reached by our dryer is 40 ÷ 45°C / 140 ÷ 149°F (enough to evaporate the umidity left by aspiration) so that there isn't danger of burning the skin of the animal even if we insist with hot air on the same spot;
d) there aren't resistors to protect with nonconducting materials, many of which are cancerogenic because they contain asbestos. With our grooming-tub it is possible to separate toxic liquid (with parasiticides) from those which can be discharged into the sewers.

ENERGY SAVING
The "Pelomagia" equipment, with their double function: liquid aspirator/dryer, thanks to the removal of resistors to heat the air, have an electrical absorption of only 1.100 Watt.
Traditional dryers have at least 3.800 Watt.
Energy saving is due not only to the lower electrical absorption, but also to the shorter time needed to aspire and dry an animal.
A saving of money is also possible thanks to the energy supplier contract: for "Pelomagia" outfits 3 Kw/h are enough.
